What we do
Ground Up Collective is an Atlanta-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that cultivates garden spaces and hands-on learning experiences, classes, and workshops that nourish minds, bodies, and local ecosystems.
School Gardens & Farm to School
Transform your existing school garden into dynamic outdoor classrooms where students learn by doing. Our hands-on lessons integrate gardening basics, nutrition education, and core science standards—while also fostering exploration, creativity, and social-emotional learning.
Community Gardens & Greenspaces
Community gardens create opportunities for neighbors to connect with fresh food, strengthen relationships, and engage with their local ecosystems.
Our network of Atlanta-based gardeners provides tailored support to community gardens based on their specific needs and goals. This may include hosting member trainings and workshops, assisting with garden planning, or providing educational programming for youth and families.
Capacity Building & Workshops
Garden education is most impactful when it’s shared, supported, and collaborative. This work should not be done in a silo, nor should every school or organization have to reinvent the wheel.
Through workshops, trainings, and professional development, we strengthen the network of educators, garden managers, and community partners who bring garden-based learning to life.
Join our Peer Learning Community for School Garden Directors & Managers, sponsored by School Garden Support Organization (SGSO.) We meet monthly via Zoom. Email us to join!
